The Story of Tippi Degré

Tippi Degré is a French girl who became famous because of her unusual childhood in Africa.

She was born in 1990 to French wildlife photographers who were working in Africa. Instead of growing up in a city, Tippi spent much of her early childhood in the wild regions of Namibia and other parts of southern Africa. Her parents often took her with them while photographing animals.

Tippi developed a remarkable comfort around wild animals. She was photographed with elephants, cheetahs, lions, ostriches, snakes, and many other animals. One of her closest animal companions was an elephant named Abu. She also spent time with indigenous communities, learning about their traditions and way of life.

As a child, Tippi said that she felt she could understand animals and communicate with them through trust and respect. Her experiences were documented in photographs and later shared in books and television documentaries.

Her story attracted worldwide attention because it seemed almost like a real-life adventure story. Many people compared her to fictional characters who grow up close to nature.
