Part A – Speaking Activity

Task:
 Record a short video (1–2 minutes) on the topic:
 “How did I spend my summer break with my sibling?”

Instructions:
 Make your video interesting and creative by including:

       A catchy introduction (you can start with a question, dialogue, or fun expression)

       At least 2–3 activities you enjoyed together (e.g., games, trips, cooking, helping at home)

       Your feelings and what you learned from spending time together

       A creative element (use props, role-play, short enactment, drawings, or background music)

       You may include your sibling in the video for a small conversation or a fun moment!

 Part B: Writing Task (Email Writing)

Topic: Write an email to your friend sharing the cooking lessons and experiences you had with your family during the summer vacation.

Instructions:

       Follow the correct email format (To, Subject, Greeting, Body, Closing)

       Write in 100–120 words

       Include:

       What dishes you learned to cook

       Who taught you (parents/grandparents/sibling)

       A fun or memorable moment

       What you learned from the experience

Make it Creative:

       Add feelings, humor, or a small incident

       Use descriptive language (smell, taste, fun moments in the kitchen) 

 Record a short video (1–2 minutes) on any ONE of the following topics:

 1. “A Day I Helped Someone and What I Learned” 

2. “If I Could Travel Anywhere, Where Would I Go and Why?” 

 Instructions:

Write a diary entry on any ONE of the following topics: 

1. A special day you enjoyed with your family 

2. How you help your parents at home and what you learn from it Instructions: 

 Write in 120–150 words 

  Follow the correct diary format:  o Date and Day  o Dear Diary,  o Body (your thoughts, feelings, and experience)  _______________________________________________________________________________________ Make it Creative:  Express your personal feelings and thoughts clearly   Add a small incident or memorable moment   Use simple and descriptive language 


GRADE 6

     Recording the Video

·        Choose a quiet and well-lit area for recording. Ensure there's minimal background noise and distractions.

·        Position your camera or smartphone securely on a stable surface or tripod.

·        Start with a brief introduction, stating your name and the purpose of the video.

·        Share the details of your memorable birthday celebration. Highlight what made it special, any unexpected events, or unique experiences.

·        Speak clearly and maintain eye contact with the camera to keep your audience engaged.

·        Wrap up your story with a memorable ending or reflection on the significance of the celebration.

Writing the Email

·        Subject Line: Use a clear and concise subject line.

·        Start the email with an appropriate greeting or salutation.

·        Include an introduction, body and closing line.

·        In the body, you can mention your experience of the video preparation.

·        Include your name, class and division as part of your email signature.
