HOLIDAY ASSIGNMENT
Section – A (Writing)
v With the arrival of summer break, you're likely
filled with excitement and anticipation for the days ahead. The freedom from
routine brings countless opportunities for relaxation, fun, and personal
growth. Write a diary entry
expressing your feelings, plans, and expectations for the summer vacation. Your
entry should be approximately 150 words in length.
v Note: The diary entry is to be written in your
English fair notebook and take a photograph of the same and send it to your class
teacher on his personal email ID.
Section – B
(Speaking)
❖ Imagine
you have been given the choice to join either the Theatre Club or the Music
Club at your school.
❖ Consider which option would contribute more
effectively to your personal and skill development.
❖ Prepare a well-structured speech in support of the
club you choose. Your speech should include 5 to 6 strong points to justify
your preference. (5 to 6 points)
❖ Record a video or audio of your speech and share
it with your English teacher as part of the Speaking Skills Assessment.
Note: Both the writing and speaking
activity must be attached to the same email and sent to your teacher before 9th
June 2025.-

Activity

particularly when it comes to celebrating a birthday. Spare some time to share
your personal account of a memorable and thrilling birthday celebration in a
video format. After making the video, send it to your teacher through an email.

Guidelines
Recording
the Video
·
Choose a quiet and well-lit area for
recording.
·
Position your camera or smartphone
securely on a stable surface or tripod.
·
Start with a brief introduction, stating
your name and the purpose of the video.
·
Share the details of your memorable
birthday celebration. Highlight what made it special, any unexpected events, or
unique experiences.
·
Speak clearly and maintain eye contact
with the camera to keep your audience engaged.
·
Wrap up your story with a memorable ending
or reflection on the significance of the celebration.
Writing the Email
·
Subject Line: Use a clear and brief
subject line.
·
Start the email with an appropriate
greeting or salutation.
·
Include an introduction, body and closing
line.
·
In the body, you can mention your
experience of the video preparation also.
·
Include your name, class and division as
part of your email signature.
