Everyone has unique experiences, particularly when it comes to celebrating a birthday. Spare some time to share your personal account of a memorable and thrilling birthday celebration in a video format. After making the video, send it to your teacher through an email. Email id is given below.

Guidelines

     Recording the Video

·        Choose a quiet and well-lit area for recording. Ensure there's minimal background noise and distractions.

·        Position your camera or smartphone securely on a stable surface.

·        Start with a brief introduction, stating your name and the purpose of the video.

·        Share the details of your memorable birthday celebration. Highlight what made it special, any unexpected events, or unique experiences.

·        Speak clearly and maintain eye contact with the camera.

·        Wrap up your story with a memorable ending or reflection on the significance of the celebration.

Writing the Email

·        Subject Line: Use a clear and concise subject line.

·        Start the email with an appropriate greeting or salutation.

·        Include an introduction, body and closing line.

·        Include your name, class and division as part of your email signature.

❖ As your summer has begun, you have lots of plans to enjoy your summer break. 

You are too excited about the free time that you have ahead of you. Make a diary 

entry expressing your emotions, plans and expectations in approximately 150 

words. 

❖ Diary entry to be written in your English fair notebook and the picture to be sent to 

your respective English teacher on ‘Whatsapp’. 

Section – B (Speaking)

❖ As per the topic given in Unit – 1 speaking skills (Page 21). 

❖ Tarun is given responsibility of organizing the music for the school party – He has 

two options – hiring a DJ or asking the school students’ band. 

❖ Prepare a speech in favor of any one topic and against the other. (3 to 4 points each)

❖ Record a video of your speech and share it with your English teacher as above 

activity.

Project Scope:

The project will focus on the following aspects of Gujarat and the other state:

Crops, Landforms, Food, Clothing, Festivals, Dance, Music , Language etc.

Methodology:

• Collect information about the culture of both the states from various

sources, including books, articles, and online resources.

• Analyze the information to identify the differences between the two states.

• Create a chart paper or brochure to depict the findings.

• Use images, tables, and graphs etc. to make the comparison more visual

and accessible.

Timeline:

The project will take approximately three weeks to complete, including research,

analysis, and documentation. Submit the project by 10th June 2024.
